Welcome to Canterbury Woods!
As President of Canterbury Woods Civic Association, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our 517 households of Canterbury Woods to our web site. This web site was established with the desire of providing one more media for the residents to get information on our community.
The people who are active within the Canterbury Woods Civic Association are interested in keeping our community a safe, attractive and desirable place to live. It takes many volunteers to keep this organization going. We regularly need volunteers for the Executive Board, committee leads, area coordinators, and block captains. Each of you will be receiving your 2010-2011 Canterbury Woods Directory within the next few weeks and you will find a multitude of helpful information and telephone numbers for your neighbors, Fairfax county services and local businesses. Remember, if you cannot volunteer, consider increasing your monetary support to the Civic Association. Every dollar of annual dues are used to support the Associations activities and to maintain the common grounds and entrance Markers.
With an active civic association we have a bigger voice regardless of the activity. In the past few years we have executed a long term agreement for Trash pickup for American Disposal Services; to aid in Emergency Response we repainted the street house numbers at a large discount by doing the entire community at once.
You will notice there are many links on this web site for you to obtain information and we will continue to add to them to better serve our association. Im looking forward to meeting you at the next event.
Sincerely,
Inger Maslin
President, Canterbury Woods Civic Association
